EAEP reaches 13 markets as first Irish member joins the group

Brussels, 13 February 2023 – the European Association of E-pharmacies (EAEP) welcomes the first Irish member of the Association, which expands the markets represented within the EAEP to 13.

Inish Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy and healthcare group based in Inishowen, Co. Donegal, Ireland. Since its foundation in 2007, the vision of the group has been to improve patients’ and customers’ quality of life. As a leading online pharmacy in the country, Inish Pharmacy offers medicinal products and beauty and personal care products to customers across Ireland and internationally.

The Managing Director of Inish Pharmacy, Colin Deeny, says “We are glad to contribute, as the first Irish EAEP member, to growing the footprint of the industry in Europe. E-pharmacies in Ireland and across the European continent still face considerable challenges that, along with other EAEP members, we want to address. The accessibility of e-health services across Europe is a positive development. We commit to collaborating with fellow members by bringing our e-pharmacy perspective and experience to further encourage policy makers to address the challenges and encourage access to quality e-health for all our citizens”

Profile: The European Association of E-Pharmacies (EAEP) represents the voice of e-pharmacies on the European continent. The EAEP promotes its interests mainly with political stakeholders, regional and business actors, with the ultimate aim to improve the health of Europe’s citizens and strengthen the European healthcare system. E-pharmacies have digitalised the classical pharmacy, and therefore act at the crossroads of digitalisation, healthcare, e-commerce and sustainability. As pioneers in providing digital solutions and our innovative and secure processes in dealing with health data, offering medicinal products and digital healthcare service while complying with national and EU law, the EAEP members continuously seek for ways to enhance the quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare for Europeans
