The European Association of E-Pharmacies (EAEP) is the organisation representing the online pharmacy sector in Europe. We work at the intersection of digital health, pharmacy, and public policy to promote a sustainable, innovative, and patient-centered digital health ecosystem across Europe. Our mission is to ensure that e-pharmacies contribute effectively to the delivery of healthcare in the digital age while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and patient care. Based in Brussels, the EAEP is at the forefront of EU policymaking, engaging with key stakeholders in healthcare, digitalisation, and the sustainability.

Role overview

EAEP is looking for a Policy Intern to join our team in Brussels. This position will provide an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to gain hands-on experience in European health and digital policy. You will be working closely with our Head of Brussels Office and our Public Affairs team, assisting in the development and implementation of EAEP’s policy priorities and initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

As a Policy Intern, you will:

• Research: Collect, compile, and update data and evidence on European health, healthcare systems, digital health, and e-pharmacy trends. Maintain databases and help produce relevant policy reports.
• Policy analysis: Monitor and summarise key EU policy documents. Provide insights through briefings or policy summaries.
• Support EAEP projects: Assist in the preparation and execution of projects and ongoing Alliances' meetings, events.
• Stakeholder engagement: Assist in preparing materials for meetings with stakeholders, including EU institutions, healthcare professionals, patients organisations, and industry representatives. Contribute to external communications.
• Membership support: Support EAEP members and relevant working groups on various administrative and policy tasks.

Candidate profile:

We look for candidates that first and foremost are passionate about public affairs, advocacy, and making a positive impact on society.

• EU right to work: Must have the legal right to live and work in the EU.
• Academic background: Degree and, preferably, Master’s degree in political science, health policy, law, communications or other relevant fields.
• Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is mandatory.
• EU institutions: Knowledge of the workings of EU institutions and decision-making processes is mandatory.
• Knowledge of digital health: A good understanding of the European healthcare system, the pharmaceutical industry, and digital health trends is highly desirable.
• Project management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage independently multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Interpersonal skills: Results-oriented, approachable, and confident in engaging with stakeholders and external partners. A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and work independently when required.
• Language proficiency: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory; knowledge of other European languages is an asset.
