The European Association of E-Pharmacies (EAEP) is the organisation representing the online pharmacy sector in Europe. We work at the intersection of digital health, pharmacy, and public policy to promote a sustainable, innovative, and patient-centered digital health ecosystem across Europe. Our mission is to ensure that e-pharmacies contribute effectively to the delivery of healthcare in the digital age while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and patient care. Based in Brussels, the EAEP is at the forefront of EU policymaking, engaging with key stakeholders in healthcare, digitalisation, and the sustainability.

Role overview

The European Association of E-Pharmacies (EAEP) is looking for a motivated Policy Officer to join its Brussels team and contribute to the Association’s growing policy and advocacy activities at European and national level.

The EAEP represents the voice of the online pharmacy sector in Europe and works to promote the role of digitalisation and innovation in pharmaceutical care, with the ultimate objective of improving access to healthcare for patients and strengthening European healthcare systems.

As the Association continues to expand its membership, policy activities and strategic projects, we are looking for a junior professional who is eager to develop their career in EU public affairs and health policy while taking on meaningful responsibilities from the outset.

Your role

Working closely with the Head of the Brussels Office and the wider EAEP team, you will contribute to the Association’s policy, advocacy, membership and project activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and analysing EU policy and legislative developments relevant to online pharmacy, pharmaceutical care, digital health and the wider healthcare sector;
• Supporting the development of EAEP policy positions, consultation responses, briefings, presentations and other advocacy materials;
• Conducting policy and regulatory research at EU and national level;
• Supporting engagement with EU institutions, national authorities, policymakers and other relevant healthcare stakeholders;
• Contributing to the work of EAEP Committees and working groups;
• Supporting the coordination of EAEP alliances and events;
• Supporting engagement with EAEP members, including the preparation of member updates, meetings and internal communications;
• Contributing to external communications, including policy-related material, website, and social media content;
• Contributing to the overall development of the Association and taking on additional responsibilities as the role evolves.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive and genuinely interested in European affairs and the intersection between policy, innovation and business.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A university degree in European affairs, political science, law, public policy, international relations, health policy or another relevant field;
• Previous professional experience in Brussels, ideally within the EU public affairs environment;
• A strong interest in innovative and digital business models and their interaction with public policy and regulation;
• Excellent written and spoken English, as well as another language;
• Strong research, analytical and writing skills;
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously;
• A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks;
• The ability to work effectively in a small, dynamic and international team.

Knowledge of additional European languages is considered an asset.

The position is Brussels-based and intended as a long-term role within the EAEP team.
