Stefan Feltens new EAEP president

**Brussels / Berlin, 11 January 2022 – The European Association of E-Pharmacies elected Stefan Feltens as the new EAEP President **

With the start of the new year, Walter Hess, CEO of DocMorris N.V., alternately passed on the EAEP President baton to Stefan Feltens, CEO of SHOP APOTHEKE EUROPE. Hess will remain part of the EAEP Board as Vice President.

As a proven leadership duo for the EAEP in 2021, Hess and Feltens have a main common goal to improve the health of European citizens by engaging in dialogue with politics, society and business. Brussels, but also national capitals, initiate policies and legislation which have a direct impact on the growth and further development of e-pharmacies. The EAEP is well-positioned to join discussions and share expertise as well as longstanding knowledge in the area of e-health and digital health solutions.

“Having worked closely together with Stefan Feltens in 2021, I am convinced he will continue the work we have started to ultimately expand and further professionalise the EAEP in Brussels and beyond”, says Hess.

Feltens: “I am honoured to carry forward the ideas we initiated in 2021 which will come to fruition for a large part in 2022. I believe the EAEP is a key health player in Europe, which is only just starting its outreach as trusted collaboration partner to deliver excellent health solutions to European citizens”.

Profile: The European Association of E-Pharmacies (EAEP) represents the interests of e-pharmacies on the European continent. More than 20 million customers and patients across Europe are currently being supplied by our members and on top of that, our online pharmacies and their more than 4,000 employees are currently active in eleven European markets. Founded in 2001 as the EAMSP (European Association of Mail Service Pharmacies) and with its name change in February 2021, the EAEP voices its interests mainly with political stakeholders, regional and business actors, with the ultimate aim to improve the health of Europe’s citizens and strengthen the European healthcare system. E-Pharmacies have digitalised the classical pharmacy, and therefore act at the crossroads of digitalisation, healthcare, e-commerce and sustainability. As pioneers in providing digital solutions and our innovative and secure processes in dealing with health data, offering medicinal products and digital healthcare service while complying with national and EU law, the EAEP members continuously seek for ways to enhance the quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare for Europeans.
